Amanda Mitchell

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am THRILLED to be part of the Magic Vacations team. I am a Massachusetts native with a New York education and a Disney obsession that runs deeper than the ocean. I am the mother of two little mouseketeers, Briegh and Carys. My love of Disney began with an unmatched love of Disney films, especially the award-winning songs. I am notorious for impersonating the voices of the most beloved princesses. I even convinced my kids I was Belle!

My first trip to Walt Disney World was an absolute dream come true. As the 5th of 6 kids, I had little hope that my parents would ever be able to afford to take a family trip to the most magical place on Earth. When my cheerleading team won a bid to perform at the Citrus Bowl and visit WDW in 2002, I was determined to seize the opportunity. At 12 years old I fundraised almost $3000 to fund my vacation of a lifetime, thinking I might never have the chance to go again.

Fast forward to 2016, now a mother, the memories I had made as a child were still fresh in my mind. I could not bear to imagine my girls going through the same longing I had experienced as a child. No way was I going to miss the way their faces would light up as they strolled down Main Street for the first time. So, I immersed myself in planning. The trip came and went, ever bit as magical as I’d imagined it would be, but I could not shake the rush I got from the research and planning involved in a WDW visit. It was almost as good as the trip itself! I fed my addiction by staying up to date on Disney news daily, and traveling to Disney destinations as often as humanly possible. My addiction has even led me across the country to Disneyland, (aka the Mecca), to soak up all of the history and nostalgia it has to offer.

I have helped to plan many Disney vacations for friends and family, always keeping in mind that the experience HAS to balance the expense. I believe each trip is unique and that is what makes Disney destinations so special, and worth the money. I am considered by my inner circle to be a “Disney Freak” and nothing could make me prouder. My best moments are when I can offer advice and direction to help folks have the Best Disney Day Ever! I can’t wait to be a part of making your family vacation, wedding, engagement, girls-trip, family reunion, or whatever it may be, the most magical time of your life!
